On Sunday morning James, Emma, and Noah wanted to try fishing! They didn't catch anything but it was fun watching them. I think Mr. Quackers scared off the fish with all of his "talking"!
After they finished fishing we decided to go for a walk and enjoy all the beautiful things around us. We worshiped in nature. God has given us so many beautiful things that a lot of times I walk by and don't even notice. I mad a conscious effort to look very close at things. This is what we saw!
I know I used this picture on day one but it was just to beautiful not to include.
I loved watching the birds every morning on the porch while I drank my coffee and "woke up". We saw lots of Hummingbirds. We had a Hummingbird feeder so we got to see them up close! James took this great picture!
And this one!
The kids had never seen Hummingbirds this close. One of the birds almost ran into Abby's head. She said she thought is was a bumble bee! What beautiful flowers and birds God created! It's amazing to realize God takes care of the littlest birds just like God takes care of us! We had a wonderful worship time, enjoying ALL of the wonderful things that God has made!
We had this really cool covered bridge on our street!
I love these pictures of James and the girls.
She is a Daddy's girl!!
And so is she!!!!
When we finished we headed back into town to pan for gems. Blue Ridge has this cute little General Store called Huck's. We panned for gems and played miniature golf.
Time to pan for gems!
When we were done panning and golfing we went upstairs to the General Store. They had every kind of candy you can imagine! I just want to say these better be the only kind of cigarettes I ever see in their mouths! Remember the bubble gum cigarettes that when you blew them it looked like smoke?
I know, not a picture that I'm real proud of!
We headed back to the cabin to relax. Abby and James came back to Woodstock because she had her last tryout for the Jr. Wolverines! I loved being so close to home! They were able to come back after tryouts. By the way, Congrats to Abby for making it on the team!! Emma and Noah and I had a game afternoon.
What a relaxing afternoon!
